How Wealthy Affiliate Works
Started in 2005, Wealthy Affiliate is a platform for helping people of all ages and backgrounds become proficient in setting up their own online business.
It has a long standing great track record within the industry having had over 50,000 independent reviews, and ranks 4.8 out of 5 on Trust Pilots star ratings.
The best thing I find about Wealthy Affiliate is you can join for FREE and get some free training as a complete novice, just like me, to all this online thing.
There is a tons of training that will walk you through getting started, setting up your website, adding content, publishing, etc.
Training Quality
Wealthy Affiliate have the most comprehensive database of training in the world. with 1000’s of resources and 100’s of hours of training.
The core training can’t be emphasized enough, the minute you walk in the door it’s there waiting to walk you through it, and by lesson 3, you will have your website up and running.
I’ve always felt that training is the key to any online business and Wealthy Affiliate don’t disappoint. I have dabbled in other affiliate platforms that have very little to offer as regards training, but I have found this Platform and training to be easy to follow so far.
Building this site with help from Wealthy Affiliates has been lots of fun for a 60 year old Truck Driver like me, who wouldn’t be all that tech savvy.
Research Tools
The research tools you have access to within Wealthy Affiliate is vast and varied. From site Management , to Content, to Keyword research, to Niche Markets and lots more.
They have a built in program called Jaxxy which allows you do all the above and then some. To be honest I would be doing you a disservice if i tried to explain all that Jaxxy has to offer, as I’m only getting used to it myself.
Lets just say you won’t be disappointed with all the research tools at your disposal.
Mentorship/Support
Wealthy Affiliate have a vast membership, it must be close to 3 million by now, and there are literally thousands of people, from all walks of life and backgrounds, who are there to help you with any problem or query you may have.
These are genuine people who want to help you succeed. Even the Co founders Kyle and Carson are only a click away , they may not answer immediately, but they WILL answer.
I had some questions i put to Kyle and they were answered within a few hours. I’m no business man but I’d say not too many CEO’s would take the time to answer a guy way down the pecking order, but it happens at Wealthy Affiliate.
Their support team are also there, to help with any technical issues , I have used them and my issue was solved within 10 minutes. The wider community of Wealthy Affiliate are also very helpful when you need a quick answer.
Just bang off a quick question and you’ll find someone gets back to you pronto with an answer or solution.
Websites/Hosting
Google ranks Websites based on content but also other factors like speed, and security. Your in good hands as regards hosting a website with Wealthy Affiliates, as google’s page speed ranking for WA is pretty high at 100/100.
This means the website is viewed as lightning fast in Google’s eyes.
Hosting at Wealthy Affiliate is offered in a 3 tiered level within the platform. As a starter member you can host 1 website for free within your account.
As a premium member you can host up to 10 websites, with the highest level of membership you can host up to 50 websites on their platform

Conclusion
So there you have it, my take on Wealthy Affiliate. The platform I started using to make some extra cash online. I guess it’s really the training that sold it for me. it’s not too daunting and pretty straight forward especially for an old fogie like me.
The community here is also very helpful and very active. There are lots of conversations going on, with loads of banter and fun thrown in. So far I’m really glad i joined, I’m learning new ideas and getting some great training, and enjoying every bit of it.

Just before Christmas 2023 the Wealthy Affiliate Platform did a major upgrade, It now makes it even simpler to start an on-line business.
They have introduced HUBS, a whole new deal that walks you through the process of setting up your website/ on-line business. It helps you pick your Niche, create your brand, and start building your website.
It also Introduced another excellent feature that will help you create content at a faster rate, it’s AI author tool. This will help you create outline headings for your post’s, and then give you the opportunity to write the article yourself, or choose the AI author to do it for you.
Then there’s the new core training which totally revamps what went before.
Kyle and Carson aren’t resting on their Laurels, their forefront in the major upgrading of their platform. And it doesn’t stop here, the two lads have more announcements to make in 2024. So maybe it’s time you took a look at what Wealthy Affiliate has to offer.
